SLBCJ Members to Invest in Paddy Cultivation in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Udaya Athukorala ( Vice President Tokyo) has introduced the Association members
the paddy cultivation in Sri Lanka. The association is planning to grow paddy (Rice) in the
western part of Sri Lanka as a pilot project. According to Mr Udaya, They will be planting
Sri Lankan traditional types of rice with is been recommended by local farmers.
Also, this cultivation will be 100% organic and no chemicals will be used. Initially, 15 members of SLBCJ has invested in the project and will be looking forward to expanding in the future. Now the association is looking at importing this rice to Japan and introduce this to the Japanese market too.
