The 10th Sri Lanka Festival was held at Yoyogi Park

The 10th Sri Lanka Festival was held at on 21st and 22nd September 2013 at Yoyogi Park in Tokyo. The Festival is organized by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Tokyo with the support of Japanese and Sri Lankan business organizations and well-wishers.

The SLBCJ was an official sponsor of the Festival. We are grateful to the many members and well-wishers who helped set-up, man the SLBCJ booth and helped during the two days of the festival. Some members had stalls at the festival, which are highlighted in the pictures attached.

Many interesting products and services were showcased at more than 80 stalls, including food, drinks, Ayuverdic products and massages, tourist information, Astrology among others. A Grand raffle draw was held with many exciting prizes including round-trip tickets to Sri Lanka.

Cultural Performances presented by the world renowned Sri Lankan dance troupe, “Channa -Upuli” performed different styles of Sri Lankan classical dance at the Festival as well as popular music performances by the “Bathiya and Santhush” group.
