SLBCJ was invited for the SLFP Year end Party

Sri Lanka Freedom Party's Japan Branch held a Year End Get Together of Sri Lankans Living in Japan on December 18, 2010 from 6.00PM to 10.00 PM at "Green Palace Fujishiro" Keari 111, Toride City, Ibaraki Prefecture.
This is the first time SLFP is organizing this kind of annual event in Japan with the purpose of celebrating the second term of office His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Although SLFP Japan Branch has organized this annual event, there were more than 200 participants enjoyed the evening without any political differences.

One of the most notable items at the function was the felicitation of Mr. Anton Wicky Ampalavanar (Wicky-san). He was presented a plaque by Mr. Esala Weerakoon, Charge D Affairs of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Japan for his dedication and commitment of betterment of Sri Lanka/Japan friendship for more than 40 years.
SLBCJ president was invited for the "toast speech" and vice presidents Jitendra Samarawickrama, Thilak Perera, Chandika Perera, Nishantha Meegalla also participated.
