Hon. Minister Prof. G.L Peiris met with the members of SLBCJ

Welcoming Hon. Minister Prof. G.L Peiris and the Sri Lankan Delegation, President of Sri Lanka Business Council of Japan Mr. Jagath Ramanayake gave a brief introduction about the SLBCJ and its active role in the business community. He also assured to continue to support the Sri Lankan Embassy in Japan and the Sri Lankan Government in its future endeavours.

Hon. Minister Prof. G.L Peiris in his speech said SLBCJ Members have a very critical role to play at this time, in the interest of Sri Lanka as ambassadors of goodwill. Carrying in a sense, are greater credibility than any credited representative of the government of Sri Lanka can have.

Prof. G.L Peiris also said, as we embark upon a new and exciting era in the contemporary history of Sri Lanka, it is strikingly evident that there is a high degree of interest in Japan regarding the developments that are taking place in Sri Lanka.
